Creating a Tow Assignment for an Existing Claim
When creating a tow assignment for an existing claim, the system first checks to see if a tow assignment already exists with the Claim Reference ID. This is an exact match on the Claim Reference ID number. The system will not search for claims that match the entered claim number.
To create a tow assignment for an existing claim
- Log into the CCC Portal. The CCC Portal home page opens.
- Search for the Claim Reference ID, then, then click on the Claim Reference ID link.
- Click on the Manage Tow Assignment link under Claim Management. When the Tow Assignment page opens, the most recent 15 tow assignments are displayed.
- To search for tow assignments, enter criteria using the fields in the Filter section. Search results appear in the Tow Assignments panel and include all tow assignments matching the entered criteria.
- If no tow assignments are displayed, Click on the Create Tow Assignment link. The Create Tow Assignment page displays.
- Select the For a Pre-Existing Claim option, enter the Claim Reference ID, and click Search.
- If no results are returned, click on the Add Tow Assignment link.
- Enter all relevant information in the fields provided on the page, then click on Save to save the information or Send to save the information and send the tow assignment to the specified towing provider.
